Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Paro · Transfer to Thimphu+

Fly into Paro with Himalayan views on a clear day. Meet and greet, then drive to Thimphu (about 65 km / 1 hr). Afternoon sightseeing: National Memorial Chorten, Takin Zoo, and a glimpse of Tashichho Dzong. Evening at leisure. Overnight: Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu · Drive to Punakha via Dochula+

Visit the National Library, Folk Heritage Museum, and Handicraft Bazaar. Drive over Dochula Pass (10,000 ft) with the 108 Druk Wangyal chortens. Walk to Chimi Lhakhang, then visit Punakha Dzong at the Pho Chu and Mo Chu confluence. Overnight: Punakha.

Day 3: Punakha · Drive to Paro+

Morning drive toward Paro via Lamperi Royal Botanical Park. Check in and rest of day at leisure. Overnight: Paro.

Day 4: Paro sightseeing+

Visit Paro Dzong and the National Museum (Ta Dzong), Paro Penlop heritage farmhouse, Drukgyel Dzong ruins, and Kyichu Lhakhang. Afternoon at the base of Tiger’s Nest. Evening free in town. Overnight: Paro.

Day 5: Departure+

Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
